WebRecord is a Windows application designed to collect, arrange and print information from the Internet quickly and easily. It enables fast, formatted printing of Web pages. It can operate in the background while the user surfs from page to page using a Web browser, or fetch and print Web pages without the user even visiting them.
Print List
Whenever it is running, WebRecord maintains a list of items for printing. Checked items are selected for printing, while unchecked items are maintained in the list but not printed.
The print list can help avoid the slow visit-and-print cycle experienced when printing from a browser. The user can build up a print list manually, or use WebRecord to automatically construct a print list by following links from page to page.
The user can rearrange the print list order by dragging and dropping selected items, change the appearance of the printout using various WebRecord options, and save the list for printing later.
Print Preview
WebRecord produces quality colour printouts using high quality graphics. The print preview shows how the current print list will be printed.
By default, WebRecord automatically produces a table of contents that lists each Web page to be printed, and the printed page number where it appears.
Also by default, WebRecord provides automatic cross-referencing page numbers to make internal hyperlinks visible on printed pages, and provides a list of external links (that is, those not included in the printed pages).
Browser Interaction
WebRecord is designed to work well when run alongside a browser, or as a stand-alone application. WebRecord communicates with Internet Explorer and Netscape Navigator. |
